Install Guide

Most of our parts install with automotive grade double sided tape, and some also use screws or clips. This is a general guide. Always check the product page for your part's install method, and follow any instructions included in the box.

Before you start

  • Confirm the part matches your car's model and year before you remove any backing tape. Once tape touches the paint, the part can't be returned.
  • Work in the shade with the car and part between about 60 and 90 degrees F. Tape bonds poorly when it's cold.
  • Have ready: isopropyl alcohol (70% or higher), a clean microfiber towel, and painter's tape.

Tape on parts (spoilers, mirror covers, canards, trim)

  1. Test fit. Hold the part in place without removing the tape backing. Check the alignment and gaps.
  2. Mark it. Use small pieces of painter's tape on the car to mark exactly where the part sits.
  3. Clean. Wipe the mounting area with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry completely. Wax, ceramic coating, or dirt will stop the tape from sticking.
  4. Peel and place. Peel back a few inches of backing at each end, line the part up with your marks, then pull the rest of the backing out.
  5. Press firmly. Press along the whole length for about 30 seconds.
  6. Let it cure. Avoid car washes and high speed driving for at least 72 hours.

Screw or clip on parts (front lips, side skirts, diffusers)

These parts mount to the bumper or rocker panel and may need the car raised safely. If you're not comfortable working under the car, we recommend a professional installer or body shop.
