FAQ

Will this part fit my car?

Every product page lists the exact Tesla model and years it fits. Tesla changed body styles over the years (for example the 2024+ Model 3 Highland and 2025+ Model Y Juniper), so parts for one generation won't fit the other. Our body kits fit the Model Y 2020–2024 (not the 2025+ Juniper), the Model 3 2017–2023 (not the 2024+ Highland) and the Model S 2021–2023 (refreshed body, Plaid and Long Range). If you're not sure which you have, contact us with your car's model year before you order and we'll confirm. See our Model Y fitment guide for how to tell the body styles apart.

Is it real carbon fiber?

Yes. We only describe a part as carbon fiber or dry carbon if that's what it is: genuine carbon fiber you can see in the weave, not plastic with a carbon print and not a vinyl wrap. Each product page lists the material for that part. Here's how to tell real carbon fiber from fake.

What's the difference between gloss, matte and forged?

Gloss is the classic carbon weave with a high shine finish. Matte is the same weave with a satin finish. Forged carbon is made from chopped carbon pressed into the mold, so it has a marbled pattern, and no two forged pieces look exactly alike. Our finish guide covers care and which finish suits your paint color.

Can I buy single pieces or only the full kit?

Both. Each body kit page lets you choose a single piece or the full kit, and the full kit costs less than buying all the pieces separately.

Will it damage my paint?

Tape on parts use automotive double sided tape on clean paint. Follow our Install Guide, especially cleaning the surface first. Removing a part later takes patience, so take your time with the test fit before the tape touches the paint.

Is installation hard?

Spoilers, mirror covers, and trim pieces are usually a simple tape on install. Front lips, side skirts, and diffusers can involve screws and working under the car, so some customers choose a professional installer or body shop. See our Install Guide and our step by step spoiler install guide.

How long does shipping take?

Every part is made to order in the finish you choose. Your shipping options and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout before you pay, and shipping within the US is free. You'll get a tracking email as soon as your order ships.

Can I pay over time?

Yes. Shop Pay Installments is available at checkout for eligible orders, subject to approval.

Can I return a part?

Yes, within 30 days of delivery if it's unused, uninstalled, and in its original packaging. Contact us first for return instructions. Parts that have been installed or had tape applied can't be returned. See our Refund Policy for full details.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. Every part has a 1 year limited warranty from delivery against manufacturing defects, such as cracks or delamination, and parts that don't fit the model and years they're listed for. If something's wrong, we'll replace the part or refund it. Cosmetic wear, accidents and installation damage aren't covered. See our Warranty page for the full terms and how to make a claim.

What if my part arrives damaged?

Contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the part and box, and we'll replace or refund it.

Do you ship outside the US?

Not yet. We currently ship within the United States, excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories.

How do I contact you?

Email support@realcarbonco.com or use our Contact page. Send your car's model and year if you have a fitment question.

Are you affiliated with Tesla?

No. Real Carbon Co is an independent aftermarket parts store. Tesla, Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X, and Cybertruck are trademarks of Tesla, Inc., used here only to describe which vehicles our parts fit.
