Short answer: there are two Model Y body styles. Parts made for the 2020–2024 Model Y generally do not fit the redesigned Model Y Juniper (2025 and later), and Juniper parts don't fit older cars. Always match the part to your car's body style, not just the name "Model Y."
The two Model Y body styles
| Model Y (2020–2024) | Model Y Juniper (2025+) | |
| Front | Separate headlights, no light bar | Full width light bar across the nose |
| Rear | Separate taillights | Full width light bar across the tailgate |
| Bumpers | Original shape | Redesigned front and rear |
Because the bumpers and tailgate changed, the parts that attach to them (front lips, rear diffusers and most spoilers) are different between the two.
How to tell which one you have
- Look at the front. A thin light bar running across the nose between the headlights means Juniper. No light bar means the 2020–2024 body.
- Check the model year. It's on your registration, and the 10th character of your VIN shows it: L = 2020, M = 2021, N = 2022, P = 2023, R = 2024, S = 2025.
- If your car is a 2025, go by the light bar. That's the quickest visual check.

- Model Y Juniper 2025+ parts
Every listing shows the exact model years it fits in the title. Some parts fit only part of a range (for example a spoiler listed for 2020–2022), so read the years on each part, not just the collection.
Same idea for the Model 3
The Model 3 went through the same kind of change. Parts for the 2017–2023 Model 3 don't fit the 2024+ Model 3 Highland. Shop Model 3 2017–2023 or Model 3 Highland.
